NOTICE OF ELECTION
A Regular Municipal Election will be held in the City and Borough of Sitka, Alaska on October 2, 2007 Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for casting ballots on the following:

VOTER QUALIFICATIONS: A person may vote in any municipal election who:
- is at least 18 years old; and
- has been a resident and registered to vote in the municipality for at least 30 days immediately prior to the election; and
- is a citizen of the United States; and
- is qualified to vote in State elections; and
- is registered to vote in State elections in the precinct in which that person seeks to vote in municipal elections.
ABSENTEE VOTING:
- Application for an absentee ballot (voting in person) may be made, in writing, with the Municipal Clerk weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. through October 1, 2007.
- Application for an absentee ballot by mail or fax may be made with the Municipal Clerk.
- Absentee ballots will be available at the Municipal Office Building, 3rd floor, beginning Monday, September 17, 2007.
- Qualified voters who are physically disabled may make application for a ballot by personal representative at the office of the Municipal Clerk weekdays (747-1811) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., or at the voting precincts on Election Day.

NOTE: Wheelchair accessible booths are located at each precinct.
