Melissa Henshaw serves as the initial contact for most
planning related questions. She assists property owners
by answering questions on land use regulations and the Planning Commission application process. Melissa grew up
in Sitka. She has a wealth of experience that allows her
to help local residents.

Having the street address and a map of their property close at hand. Its often easier to bring in a map and go over their property questions in person so everyone can understand exactly what is planned for the project. While many questions can be answered over the phone, a large number of them may require a quick face-to-face conversation in the Planning Office.
