The regular election of the City and Borough of Sitka is October 7, 2025. Eligible voters may choose to vote using one of these options:
- Early voting in person: Voters may vote an early in-person ballot September 22 – October 6 at Harrigan Centennial Hall, meeting room 3. Hours are weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and Saturdays (on September 27 & October 4) from 9 a.m. to noon. (Closed Sundays)
- Absentee voting by mail: Voters may apply to receive a ballot by mail. Completed applications must be received no later than September 30, 2025. Ballots will be mailed starting September 15. The voted absentee by-mail ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day, October 7, and received by the Municipal Clerk’s Office no later than October 10, or, be delivered to the Municipal Clerk’s Office or an election official before polls close on Election Day, October 7.
- Absentee voting by fax or email: Voters may apply for an absentee ballot to be sent by fax or email. To vote by email, you will need access to a printer to print the ballot, and a scanner (or a device capable of taking a clear photo) to return the ballot. Completed applications must be received by 5:00 p.m. (AKST) on October 7. Voted ballots by fax or email must be submitted according to the Municipal Clerk’s instructions and received no later than 8:00 p.m. (AKST) on Election Day, October 7.
- Absentee voting by personal representative: Voters who are unable to go to a polling place due to age, illness, or disability may have a personal representative pick up a ballot beginning September 22. Contact the Municipal Clerk’s Office for more information.
Election Day In Person: Voters may vote in person on Election Day at their respective precinct in Harrigan Centennial Hall. Polls will be open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Precinct 2: Meeting Rooms 2 & 3 (enter from outside the building)
A wheelchair accessible booth and an ADA compliant voting apparatus are available during early voting and at each precinct on Election Day.
