City hall Flagpole Refurbishment Project
3/27/2024

We are excited to announce that our City Hall flagpole is about to undergo some much-needed refurbishment. This refurbishment project is expected to take two weeks to give our flagpole a fresh new look that will last for years to come.

Starting Thursday, March 28, the flagpole at City Hall will be temporarily removed for refurbishment. During the duration of removal, which is expected to take place Thursday morning, March 28, the intersection of Lincoln Street and Harbor Drive will be closed to through vehicle traffic.

The refurbishment project entails a complete restoration of the flagpole to its former glory, ensuring that it remains a prominent and dignified centerpiece of our city.

We acknowledge that the absence of our flagpole during this short period may evoke a sense of nostalgia, but we urge you to join us in celebrating a revitalized emblem that reflects our unity and strength. During this period, our flags will be proudly displayed at the first-floor entry to City Hall.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we complete this project. Please contact the CBS Public Works Department with any questions at 907.747.1804.
