If your dog is over the age of 6 months it needs to be licensed with the City and Borough of Sitka. This can be done at the Sitka Police Department at 304 Lake Street, Rm 102. Your information can be left with the Police Department Dispatcher and a license will be sent to you in the mail. Renewals can be done by mail.
The cost is $15.00 for a spayed/neutered dog for a one year license, or a $35.00 cost for a 3-year license for a spayed/neutered dog is available. Unaltered dogs will cost $35.00 each year for a City dog license. Proof of rabies vaccination is required and proof of spay/neuter information will be needed as well.
Cats in Sitka do not need to be licensed.
