2026 City Spring Clean-Up & Household Hazardous Waste Collection event

The annual City Clean-Up event will be held 8am- 4pm daily from April 25 to May 3.
Household hazardous waste will be collected from 8am-4pm on May 2 and 8am to 3:00pm on Sunday, May 3.

Seeking Reading Buddies, Applications due May 15

Sitka Public Library is looking for Adult Reading Buddies for this summer. Those who enjoy reading with a child are invited to sign up to participate in a program that promotes literature among children. Buddies meet up to one hour each week with an assigned first or second grader. The program runs from June 6-August 8 with time off for vacation.

Sitka Community Health Council Forum

The Sitka Community Health Council was formed in 2019 as a forum dedicated to advising SEARHC on the health and welfare needs of our community, and to ensure Sitkans have a voice in our healthcare services. Please join us for the Council’s annual public meeting on April 6 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Harrigan Centennial Hall. Attendees will be invited to join facilitated breakout group discussions

Seasonal Sales Tax Rate Change April 1
