The City of Sitka Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Sitka Rotary Club and other organizations, hosts a Bike Rodeo to promote safe and confident cycling for riders of all ages.
The event will be held on Saturday, August 22 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Keet Gooshi Heen Playground, 307 Kashevaroff St. Participants will learn about bicycle safety, helmet fitting, basic bike maintenance, and safe riding practices. Participants will also practice their skills through fun, interactive activities and skills courses.
The Bike Rodeo is open to the community and is intended for youth 14 and under, providing young riders with the knowledge and skills they need to ride safely.
