On September 8, the City and Borough of Sitka Assembly voted to authorize November 27 and 28 as sales tax free days for 2026. Exclusions include any sale of fuel, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, marijuana, and any sale which is part of a continuing obligation of the buyer to pay the seller over time.
