The City and Borough of Sitka was alerted by the National Weather Service Juneau (NWS) of a high wind warning affecting the Sitka area until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 5. NWS listed winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph with a brief break before winds increase again from the SW late Thursday night into Friday morning.
Please secure vessels and loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by wind.
