The City and Borough of Sitka Electric Utility Department utility crews will be performing pole replacement and tree trimming along Green Lake Road between the Gary Paxton Industrial Park and the Medvejie Hatchery beginning Monday, August 3, through Friday, August 14. Work will take place Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Green Lake Road will remain open during construction; however, expect single-lane traffic and minor delays while crews are working. Beyond the gate just past Herring Cove Trailhead, pedestrian and bicycle access will remain available. Please slow down, use caution, and follow any posted signage or directions from work crews.
