The City and Borough of Sitka will close a portion of Lincoln Street to vehicle traffic on Saturday, June 6, 2026, for the Porch Fest 2026 event hosted by the Greater Sitka Arts Council. The closure will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Lincoln Street will be closed from St. Michael’s Cathedral to Harbor Drive, including intersections at American Street, Barracks Street, Katlian Street, and Harbor Drive. Katlian Street will also be closed at the north end of Totem Square.
The Sitka Police Department will attempt to contact the registered owners of any vehicles parked within the closure area prior to the start of the event. When possible, dispatch will make telephone contact if a phone number is available. Any vehicles remaining in the area during the closure will not be permitted to move until all pedestrian traffic has cleared and it is safe to do so.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, use alternate routes, and use caution in the area due to increased pedestrian traffic. Please follow all posted signage. We appreciate the public’s patience and cooperation as the community gathers safely.
