Biography
I am a service-oriented professional that is sincere, proactive, adaptable, and persistent. I bring a listening ear and open mind to my creative problem solving. This approach can be applied to a wide range of situations and routinely serves me well. Born and raised in Sitka, I returned 5 years ago because this is my home. I worked in the architecture / engineering / construction industry for many years in Chicago, IL after my architecture coursework at MSU in Bozeman, MT. I quickly moved into the business side of the profession and understand the pulse and patterns of large-scale project management. I have been an assembly member since December of 2022.
Advocacy Statement
A livable and affordable Sitka for my generation and generations to come drives me to pursue a 2nd term on the Sitka Assembly. I work in nonprofit management and know firsthand the struggles to live and work here. Sitka is a unique place with diverse attributes and challenges. Through my range of interests and activities I have a well-rounded perspective and opportunity to hear from Sitkans of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds. These interactions strengthen my understanding of issues and heighten my motivation to serve my community for another term on the assembly. I would like to serve this community that has given me so much and ensure a happy and healthy Sitka for today, tomorrow and 30 years from now.
