Biography
I am a long-time Sitka resident, a registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience, and a parent who believes strongly in the importance of our schools and our community. My career has taught me to listen, work with people who have different perspectives, solve problems, and advocate for those who need a voice.
Advocacy Statement
I believe every student deserves a safe, supportive school, where they can learn, grow, and feel that they belong. I want to advocate for strong academic opportunities, healthy work/school environment, responsible use of school resources, meaningful support for educators and support staff, and a school system that communicates openly with families and the community. I believe a strong school board leadership means listening first, asking hard questions, and making decisions based on what is best for students and those that support them.
