The public is invited to hear author and fisherwoman Mary Jacobs discuss her new book She Takes the Helm at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 17th at Sitka Public Library. The memoir chronicles her journey from cannery worker to captain of an all-female Alaskan fishing crew. Copies of the book will be available for purchase.
